The Saints announced this morning that they had secured $13 million from the State Government for a second stage of works at the reserve, which has been badged RSEA Park.

State Govt. is allocating over $250 million to the likes of Ikon Park and Western Oval to do up those grounds and the infrastructure to build these grounds up for AFLW.
In a location and geographical sense, Victoria Park is close to the city, close to public transport and close to the Eastern Freeway. I'm not a massive AFLW fan but I would have thought it would be better to play games there along with VFL games. |

It will always be our spiritual home and if we play VFL there that’s enough for me. I doubt that the commies running the Yarra City Council would want it developed anymore anyway. I like the way it’s done now. Open to the public and some of our important history preserved.

That ground is run by the council and has for 40 years. |
