Is it just me or did anyone else find it strange that Nathan had not been to the hospital to see Tim or Kayle on Tuesday......over 2 days had passed?

I would have thought with the seriousness of the injuries the coach would have visited.......especially a coach who has been criticised for his relationships with his players.

He did say he called them but they are not in another state......the hospital is not far from the Holden Centre.

Kirby’s back at the Club today.

As for a Broomy, it was probably best to stay away. How does a coach have that conversation without asking “Mate, why’d you kick the goalpost like that?”

I think there are all sorts of good reasons to be critical of the coaching. I would struggle to give this a spot on that list.

Might surprise some to learn that coaches are a wee bit busy at weekends. And that players understand this.

They spoke on the phone a few times. Nuf sed.

FFS, it's why we have welfare people at the club.

I wish it was just you. Actually it’s you and many others just looking for any excuse to bag the coach. Travis Cloke who was sacked by him says he has a ‘heart of gold’. Sounds like a good bloke to me; regardless of whether you think he can coach or not.

^ was Travis being sardonic when he said that ? I didn’t get the impression there was great love lost there, but Bucks was right when he called time on Travis as he was on Thomas and Didak.

Welfare staff or not, if that's true it just ain't good enough, despite what we think of his coaching abilities.

That's one of his boys and a phone call is insufficient.

Buck's had Sunday to go to the hospital, absolutely no excuse if true and that I would think is the meaning of 'side by side'.

Travis does have a heart of gold.

Kicking the goal post ? What a strange comment. He was running at full tilt, pushed off balance and adapting instantaneously to a fluid situation. Actions at that speed under those conditions are not voluntary. I can understand why he kicked the goalpost better than I can understand how someone could deliberately write from the unpressured comfort of a keyboard how stupid Broomy’s act was. (NB TP to avoid confusion I know it was not your comment).

He didn't kick the goal post? I thought the video was tolerably clear on that particular point.

Bit harsh mate
Kirby is back at the club already so hard to visit him
Broomy has had to have surgery and I would say that the club doctors would he his first visitors and everyone else including the coach would be allowed after there is no chance of passing off a infection
I'm sure the coach would have had phone contact with the player already
You can get stuck him into for coaching poorly that's fair game but this isn't anything to have a crack at him over IMO
