At Melbourne:

"With David Misson's departure as elite performance manager at the end of the season to join family in Canada prompting a restructure of the conditioning department the Demons believed there was no point sitting on their hands in relation to coaching.

That review, which was completed recently, will see the Demons recruit a high performance manager to replace Misson with the potential position overseeing the medical and fitness departments.

Dr Zeeshan Arain will become head of medical services and rehab coach Phil Merriman will become head of fitness in a remodelled structure."

COLLINGWOOD

Taylor Adams - Groin (1 Week) I did mention last week that I doubt he's a test but thats what AFL reported. Had a setback after Swans game but is on track for a call up in the next fortnight.

Jamie Elliott - Hamstring (1 Week) He's keen to get back out there. Club has been cautious with his return.

Will Kelly - Leg (4-7 Weeks)

Daniel Wells - Knee (10 Weeks)

Dayne Beams - Hip (10-14 Weeks)

Tom Langdon - Knee (TBC) Last week listed as 3 weeks. We'll know more in the next fortnight. Some unofficial reports have suggested he will need to have surgery.

Brodie Grundy - Neck (TBC). Last week played with a sore ankle. Maybe he could have been rested? This neck injury is news to me. I'd expect him to play, but we'll see what happens at training tomorrow/Thursday.

Rupert Wills - Calf (TBC) Was withdrawn from the VFL last week. Will know more in a few days. No one seems to care because his name isnt Langdon.

Tom Wilson - Conditioning (TBC) Just building fitness levels. Am assuming he will play VFL later in the year?

Nathan Murphy - Ankle (Indefinite) Still waiting for some good news here.

Lynden Dunn - Knee (Season)

No good rushing them back. Lets just hope we can take care of business against the Dogs and Roos and see if they'll be available for the Hawks. Although, I feel like Elliott might have to come back via VFL, but who knows?

Just watch for Grundy as a late out on Sunday. Should be ok, but it's possible. Adams and Elliott should be tested next week, but my gut feeling is Adams will wait another week. The Stevo suspension is crap, but we could have he, Beams and Wells available for selection in week one of the finals; thats handy. Still praying for Langdon news to be good, but I'm worried.

I think Scharenberg is some chance to come into the side after his BOG today in the VFL.

33 disposals including 16 marks in a defensive role.

Beam could be a week or 2 before finals if he heals ok

Adams is a worry seeing we pushed him towards a comeback for the swans game 3 weeks ahead of schedule now his going to miss at least 2 more weeks

Elliott I think we are being overly cautious to be safe given his history

Langdon the rumours still persist that he's going under the knife in the next 2 weeks if he hasn't shown more improvement. According to the rumour he still has swelling that won't subside and has nil ability to move laterially at the moment suggesting it's more than just swelling (likley a PCL or Miniscus issue)
I haven't liked the sound of it from the start and think the club has played ducks and drakes all the way along with this one

Either our medical staff are unsure on some injuries and just thinking rest is the best solution of they are misdiagnosing too many of them and causing our players to miss more games than they should have
Either way it's really becoming a issue

A return if he is OK after his VFL stint would be great for Shaz and altho did not see game 33 disposals good effort

Some players get 33 pocessions and a third are ineffective but not so with this kid on his day close to all be team opportunities further downfield
