Well they're estimating, that's about all they can do. |

So a small rest period for the boys and a look to injuries and their decrease in a fortnight’s time
Shaz is two games into his return so who else close that would be walk ups
Adams and Elliott may fill that situation in the earliest time

Once he develops more strength and confidence in his dodgy knees, there's a chance that some time in the latter part of the season, Schaz may be able to return to the seniors to play the Langdon role. He's a like for like replacement. |

Taylor Adams - Groin (TEST) Was listed as 3-4, I doubt he's a test but thats what AFL have reported.
Flynn Appleby - Ankle (TEST) Should be ready to go after narrowly missing out last week.
Jamie Elliott - Hamstring (TEST) Will be right to go.
Brodie Grundy - Ankle (TBC) Might have been rested if not for playing Gawn. We shouldnt play him if he is injured.
Tom Langdon - Knee (3 Weeks) Has come down from last week. Still nothing on last weeks rumours.
Will Kelly - Leg (5-8 Weeks)
Daniel Wells - Knee (11 Weeks)
Dayne Beams - Hip (11-15 Weeks) Last week 12, now 11-15. Are they guessing?
Nathan Murphy - Ankle (Indefinite) Waiting for some good news here.
Lynden Dunn - Knee (Season)

Quote: | Grundy almost missed the Queen's Birthday clash with Melbourne but should be fine to face the Western Bulldogs after the Pies' round 13 bye, as could Adams and Elliott. Langdon will be out for some time yet but Appleby could be ready to resume in the VFL. Murphy's recovery has been slow and Kelly will also spent a considerable time on the sidelines. Beams and Wells face a race against time to return before season's end, but the campaign seems over for fellow veteran Dunn after a second anterior cruciate ligament rupture in nine months. - Ben Collins |

Presti I'm no genius but isn't the list and the statements on Langdon vastly different ?
Listed as 3 weeks but the statement says "Langdon will be out for some time yet"
Some time yet to me means more than 3 weeks
If it was 3 weeks going on previous statements they would have said something like " eyeing a return just after the bye or a couple weeks away"
I've had this weird feeling all the way along with the Langdon knee that we aren't being given the whole story
Someone mentioned earlier about the Beams injury and it happened in round 7 and they hoped at first it was more bruising than anything but it didn't settle down and actually got worse over time in collisions and normal game running
They rolled the dice and as usual for Collingwood it came up snake eyes
Talking to Dayne last week the surgeon in Tasmania is a guru at hips hence why the club is sending him there
He said he's had other AFL players up and playing in 8 weeks with same injury but everyone heals different so his time line is likely to be 8-12 weeks he's hoping for 8/9 weeks 10 at the outside |

Most teams can write-off a season with 5 key players consistently out. Not us.
Gotta love the depth on the list, we bat pretty deep into the order! _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Richmond’s current injury plight makes a mockery of all the people suggesting their sports medicine staff were better than the rest of the comp.
It’s just dumb luck. If you make the sample window big enough, all clubs will eventually wash out with similar numbers.
They were blessed in 2017 but this round they had 9 of their first 13 best and fairest missing.
If you get to the bye round and you come back with only three or four of your first 25 missing, then you’re going very nicely on the injury front ( unless one of them is Grundy ) We are going very nicely ! |

Very good point. TBH, I dont know where this ruomer came from and who leaked it. Maybe it was made up? But I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. Until we hear something official from the club, it's good news.
People will lose their minds if it turns out he needs surgery. They'll say we have no idea what we're doing. Just have to remember that we have given him an opportunity to get back some time this season. If it turns out the injury is not responding, then yes its possible he will miss the rest of the year. The club needs to explain this better. But it's better to give him a chance to get back out there when all we can lose is a few weeks recovery during the off season.
I hope Beams can get back soon. I do believe we made a mistake to play him against Fremantle. He finished in the top ten of the Brownlow last year. This year he's playing in a better midfield and a better team, so he won't stand out as much. We need him fit and we need him out there.
Hopefully, Adams, Elliott, Grundy and Appleby are all passed fit next week. If we get good news on Langdon and Murphy, then we'll only be waiting on Kelly, Wells and Beams to get back very late in the season.
