On presser today Bucks when asked said Taylor Adams will play
Surgeon has given all clear but will wear a glove 🥊

Asked why Brayden Sier left ground before end of training session

Brayden has a sore rib issue which is affecting his breathing and may not play VFL for a few weeks

Nathan Murphy - Calf (TEST)

Taylor Adams - Finger (TEST)

Tim Broomhead - Leg (TEST)

Ben Reid - Quad (TEST)

All four played over the weekend, with Reid starring in the VFL.

Daniel Wells - Foot (1 week)

Will Kelly - Ankle (2-3 Weeks) (Hasnt been listed in previous weeks, which is strange as we know he's been recovering from surgery).

Both should be available for VFL selection within a fortnight. Wells should be a TEST this week, but we'll see.

Both some time away. And Lynden Dunn is of course gone for the year.

With the exception of WHE, Berg and Dunn, the list is in good shape heading into round 4.

COLLINGWOOD

Darcy Moore - Ankle (TBC)

Nathan Murphy - Ankle (TBC)

Brayden Sier - Rib (TBC)

Will Kelly - Ankle (1-2 Weeks)

Will Hoskin-Elliott - Knee (4-5 Weeks)

Matt Scharenberg - Knee (8 weeks)

Lynden Dunn - Knee (Season)

Quote:
Moore rolled an ankle in the loss to West Coast but played out the game so he should be fine to face the Western Bulldogs, despite the six-day break. Wells appears set to make his long-awaited comeback via the VFL and father-son Will Kelly is perhaps just a week away. The news isn't as good for Murphy, who had just returned from a left calf problem when he suffered a right ankle injury. A non-starter in the VFL was Sier, who left the track early on Thursday as he battled a rib injury that affected his breathing. Hoskin-Elliott's recovery is slower than expected, and a longer-term view will be taken with Scharenberg as he makes his way back from a third knee reconstruction, but the season seems over for veteran Dunn after a second anterior cruciate ligament rupture in nine months. - Ben Collins

Daniel Wells is no longer listed, but I'd still assume that he will be tested for his first VFL match.

Ch. 7 claim Mayne has a transverse process fracture.

"Each vertebra has 2 wing-like protrusions, called a transverse process, that extend toward the sides. These protrusions provide an area for muscles and ligaments to attach to provide movement and flexibility in the back. Transverse process fractures can occur anywhere along the spinal column. They are more common in the back than the neck.

A transverse process fracture is a break or crack in 1 or more of these protrusions."

"It may take up to 6 weeks for a transverse spinal fracture to heal."

https://www.winchesterhospital.org/health-library/article?id=894287

"There are two transverse processes that extend off each vertebra in the spine, one on each side. This is where some muscles and ligaments of the back attach to the spine. One of these muscles is the psoas muscle, which controls the forward bending motion of the upper body and thighs. This muscle attaches to the transverse processes of the lumbar vertebrae and the 12th thoracic vertebra.

During a fall, car accident, or other forceful injury, the psoas muscle can contract strongly as the body tries to protect itself. The contraction can be strong enough to pull off a chip of bone from the transverse process.

This fracture does not cause any injury to the spinal cord or nerves. However, the forces that cause this fracture can also cause internal bleeding or other injuries that might not be clear at the time of your first exam."

COLLINGWOOD

Dayne Beams - Illness (TEST) (Will play)

Jack Madgen - Concussion (TEST)

Tyler Brown - Shoulder (TBC)

Nathan Murphy - Ankle (TBC) (TBC?? Same as last week)

Will Kelly - Ankle (1-2 Weeks) (Same as last week)

Will Hoskin-Elliott - Knee (1-2 Weeks) (Has come down significantly)

Chris Mayne - Back (TBC (6+ Weeks)

Matt Scharenberg - Knee (6-7 weeks)

Lynden Dunn - Knee (Season)

Quote:
Beams is expected to be back to face his former club Brisbane at the Gabba on Thursday night but Mayne requires some healing time. Hoskin-Elliott is back in full training and is perhaps just a week away, and so is father-son draftee Will Kelly, but a timeline for Murphy remains unclear. Tyler Brown and Madgen will be assessed after sitting out the second half in the VFL. Scharenberg is on target for a mid-season return from a third knee reconstruction, but the season seems over for veteran Dunn after a second anterior cruciate ligament rupture in nine months. - Ben Collins

I find it funny that they didnt list Mayne, but I added him in as "TBC" but we also know it'll be over 6 weeks.

WHE was 3-4 weeks and is now 1-2. Hopefully we can get him fit soon. We miss him I reckon.

Got a few from our "best 22" missing, but still in better shape than in previous seasons. Hope to get back from Brisbane and head into Anzac Day without any more injuries.

(Have a look at the post two up. Assuming it really is a transverse process fracture, we probably know all there is to know.)

In the NFL, Derek Carr had a transverse process fracture in 2017.
Video of his incident: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlnOB0ud5Ro
He missed 1 game, but claimed it affected him the rest of the season.

Tony Romo had the injury in 2014 and played out the game but missed the next one.

Cam Newton had the injury in the same season in a car accident and missed 1 game.
