Kayle Kirby - Irregular Heart Beat (TBC)
Im sure the club is doing everything to make sure Kayle will be ready to play soon. (Sadly, we saw a similar incident with St Kildas Dylan Roberton).

Yep. And it seems the medicos don't really know what happened in his case either.

Roberton is now going to miss the rest of the season as they try to assess what's wrong using an implanted device.

Wishing Dylan well in his recovery and hopefully getting to the bottom of his medical situation.

Scary we've seen this sort of thing happen already with Kayle Kirby collapsing in a practice VFL match a few weeks back.

Latest news on Kayle Kirby.

It's been established that he has an 'underlying heart condition' and won't be playing for at least the next three months.

That sounds similar to the Roberton situation in the sense of how much is known at this stage by the cardiologist.

Fairfax says the club knows more but is just saying less:
"It's understood that Collingwood's medical team are aware of the exact heart condition that Kirby is living with, but the club are choosing to describe it only as "an underlying heart condition"."

I wonder what condition it could be, keeping in mind that it wasn't spotted by his prior club ECG test.

Hope he keeps the weight off with his forced layoff.
May have trouble getting fit again after this.

Lastest release from sick bay Levi Greenwood played last night against Werribee in VFL and post match gained the plaudits from coach Rivers

Was really impressed with his attitude—only one game and would think not enough for instant recall—count yourself fortunate there Joel Selwood cos as Ted would say

“He stuck it right up him”

Elliott said about 3-4 years ago his back is royally stuffed and his hamstrings will always be an ongoing management thing.

I think we need to consider trading him at season's end. He's my favourite player can't get on the park. St Kilda will prob take him ... straight swap for for Paddy McCartin?

You're probably on the money here RH, as much as it pains me to say. The back/hammy issues just can't stand the rigours of AFL footy unfortunately.

Elliott fast becoming the next Ben Reid. Sadly, I think we've seen the best of him.

Why specifically do you hope for the news on Pendlebury is positive?

For comparison purposes:

Injury crisis forces hamstrung Crows to act

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-05-10/injury-crisis-forces-hamstrung-crows-to-act

"The last set of injury figures released by the AFL – covering the 2016 season – show that an average of 5.2 new hamstring injuries occurred per club per season, causing players to miss an average total of 19.7 matches.

With the Crows already exceeding that mark after six matches, coach Don Pyke admitted something had to change."
