For example, the AFL website says Moore is 1 week whereas the HS is saying 2-3 weeks.
Throughout the year I've been merging all the information and mentioning any of the contradictions.
Makes it tough, especially when some of these reporters are probably guessing. |
Seems like, get all the reports then pick the worst one and multiply weeks by 2. |

Would not work for Murphy. You'd need to multiply by about 10 or 12 at least. |

It's been very busy in this thread in the last week.
Anyway here we go with this weeks first official list:
COLLINGWOOD
Nathan Murphy - Back (TEST) Passed last week, but pulled before the VFL game. Should play.
Darcy Moore - Hamstring (2-3 Weeks) This is B.S! They reported that he was 1-2 weeks away and that he was a small chance to play Vs Dees. Now they are saying 2-3. Surely he's back by round 23.
James Aish - Shoulder (2-3 weeks)
Daniel Wells - Knee (3 weeks) Aiming to play vs Essendon.
Jordan De Goey - Hamstring (TBC) Some reports that he'll be tested this week and if not back Vs Melb, should make the trip to Adelaide. "TBC" is annoying, but he's not far away.
Isaac Quaynor - Foot (TBC) FFS another "TBC". Early speculation was 3-4 weeks and he's now missed one.
Ben Reid - Calf and Hamstring (TBC) Likely season ending. Read 5 weeks on another site.
Brayden Sier - Calf (TBC) I honestly hate the use of TBC. Heard that he could be tested this week, but who knows?
Will Kelly - Hamstring (TBC) This one is worrying. Should have been back 2 weeks ago. Something has happened?
Mason Cox - Eye (Season)
Dayne Beams - Hip/Shoulder (Season)
Lynden Dunn - Knee (Season)
Tom Langdon - Knee (Season)

Quote: | Cox's season-ending eye injury has added to the Pies' personnel woes. De Goey and Quaynor will remain on the sidelines at least for the short term, while Aish and Moore also hope to be back before the end of the minor rounds. Sier seems unlikely this week while Murphy again didn't take the field in the VFL after being cleared to play. Kelly is also being managed conservatively, but Reid faces an uphill battle to play again this season after another setback. Stephenson will be available at finals time while Wells will race the clock to return before season's end, but the campaign is over for Langdon and veterans Dunn and Beams. - Ben Collins |
Looks as though Murphy is the only player that will come off the list this week. He looks like he's finally ready to resume in the VFL. He's had a long layoff and a few setbacks when he was close to returning almost 2 months ago.
Hate the term "TBC" because it could mean anything and people will always assume the worst. JDG is not far off. Moore and Aish will be back before we play Essendon in round 23
Wells is recovering much faster than first anticipated. He will return to play in round 23. That would be something.
We should see nearly everyone back by finals with the exception of Reid, Beams, Cox, Langdon and Dunn. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Plus whoever cops a season-ending injury this week. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Thanks for the update. Assuming all these players are available in the coming weeks, will be interesting to see how many are actually brought into the seniors as it can upset the team balance if we make wholesale changes. |

Not sure the team is currently balanced.
The bigger problem would be if they can run out games. |

It's got to the point where we now envisage the Grim Reaper sitting weekly at a roulette type wheel, giving it a mighty spin with his bony hand, and seeing which Guernsey number slot the ball drops into, then cackling with glee... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

If Wells plays, who do we play in his spot for the last three quarters? |

But the club says there's no problem. Maybe they always win at the roulette wheel. |

Interesting information regarding Wells shared by Bucks during weekly chat with Whately:
- Wells will make self-assessment of his readiness to play in VFL this weekend after main training session Thursday which will largely dictate whether he plays on the weekend
- There are only 2 VFL matches remaining before AFL/VFL finals:
1. Match this Sunday
2. BYE next weekend
3. Match same weekend as AFL rd 23 clash
You'd think if Wells is a chance to contribute post-season, he would need to get through tomorrow's session unscathed, play ~75% game time in VFL this weekend and then possibly play AFL next round (or participate in some pretty intense match sim). Time will tell. |
