There’s no such thing as a “good effort” or “honourable” loss when you haven’t made finals in 4 years.

We lost....again!!!!

Anyone who thinks that’s ok is the reason why we are so poor.

This was a loss, it is NO different to last week and quite frankly, I’m annoyed that “honourable” losses are becoming the best we can hope for.

Same mistakes, by the same players and same free opposition players roaming forward.

This rubbish must stop.

Dejavu.

This article was from last year about how rare it is for teams to make the finals after losing the first two games of the season.

After the siren: If your team's 0-2, is it time to panic?
http://m.afl.com.au/news/2017-04-02/after-the-siren-if-your-teams-02-all-might-not-be-lost

We need to get rid of Buckley NOW so our Club can move forward.

Our 8-9 best forwards out, should have been an easy win for the Giants. Again they've failed to handle high intensity.

Our effort was brilliant, the polish was never going to be there given the outs and also being an extra man down in the second half. Couldn't ask for any more. Big tick for coach and players.

Can't fault the effort.

5th year of'HONOURABLE losses. Crocker need s to learn to kick a drop punt.. certainly hasn't got what to takes to kick"Around the corner". Adams is out so is Varcoe. can't continue to say we need spuds because they have name.Sorry for Broomhead but surely Mclarty should have been the call up for Reid??? being a BIG GUY??? So what do we do?/ we bomb it to a midget forward line defended by GIANT giants!!!We should have won by 4 goals but don't kid yourself about Honourable losses.

Honourable losses are fine by my book. G and D is all I ask of my team and we gave it in spades today.

Rapt with the spirit shown by the club/team/players today. Massive turnaround in want and desire from last week.

Best of luck to Broomy on his recovery.

Save for injuries, we probably would have snagged this game.

It's time to thump Carlton good and proper next week!! Bring the want and desire again, and who knows?

Go the Pies!

I don't see how anyone could expect any better this game. Of course we would lack goal scoring and forward marking, we had our top 8-9 forwards missing.

Not many teams will hold GWS to fewer than 100 points.

No big surprise that forward line was an issue with our outs.

Failure to capitalise on ruck dominance was probably a bigger surprise.

It's remarkable we even got close to one of the Premiership favourites given the circumstances.

I actually don't have the energy anymore, i am resigned to the fact that on skills we just don't have "it" to win against top sides. We had injuries and i think they are part of the excuse. But i was proud of the four quarter effort today, and i am very glad some of the almost players (ah la: Aish, Brown and Langdon) put in games to show they are starting to come on. Next week is a game i really think we can win...we just have to bring the same four quarter effort. I was one who thought we would not get within 60 points.

Collingwood people were breaking bones for your selfish gratification , mate. Go have a cold shower and learn what it means to salute a noble effort.

The injury to Moore was a big factor and although he was moderate in his time in the game in the final ten minutes when less than a kick from victory
we had no tall forward to get the ball in the air

We just bommed it fwd and tried to “grunt “ goals

The fact is we outplayed them for much of the game. In the end we tired a bit and had to resort to bombing the ball forward. Without any marking options that was never going to work, unfortunately being a rotation down we mostly didn't have the legs to run it like we needed to.
