I post rarely as I see so many angles to this I become paralysed. Still, do a little balance on the Cox theme, I’ve read no mention of one of most experienced players in Ben Reid clunking multiple marks. To me if you are getting 2 hands to it without any spoils then it should be sticking. It’s like it’s mental. Just that grit to say “ this is mine!!!!”

Sure Coxy was poor but so was Reid. The whole mood changes when a couple of strong grabs occur. Hope. Belief. These little things drive me nuts. Even my 15 yo son is saying “ Dad, when we handball why aren’t we going on to shepherd? We just handball and stop”
I hate being critical because I’m on in amongst it and know they are trying but eff me, even the basics of intent seem frazzled . In round 1!!!
Thanks

I would play Reid down back full stop.
AA backman ...so why are we playing him forward.
He is not a great goal kicker.
Kicked 14 goals last year.

Reid dropped a couple, but he did take 6 marks. Cox took 0. That's extraordinary.

It was a slippery night, some dropped marks were to be expected (Moore dropped a couple as well). It's not like the Hawks talls were grabbing many either.

I prefer Reid down back rather than up forward but I don't mind pushing him forward from time to time and rotating with Darcey - to confuse the opposition.

Cox was deplorable last night and never looked like taking a mark. He looked tired slow and lethargic. A bloke his size should be smashing packs and dominating around the ground and not just throw you hands up in the air and wave em around you just don't care.

Just post one angle at a time. You can always comment again or update an old comment. There --- paralysis banished. Wink
