| Post subject: Two smokies for 2018 |  |

Reading the reports of the VFL practice game, it seems like McLarty is thriving playing in the ruck and up forward. As well, apparently Sier was BOG.
To be honest I hadn't given either of these players much thought as senior players, but maybe they could both become surprise packages for us this year and make a real impact at senior level. Here's hoping. |

yes, when you are three steps faster than everyone else on the field, its hard to get a contested possession.
The most important stat for Murray is going to be yards gained. its going to be a great asset. I also like the way he runs hard and straight without fear and does the little things.
The biggest criticism we will have of him is his disposal and his absence of a left foot (there were some strange wrong footed contortions today as he kicked on the right when he so obviously needed to kick with the left).

Could of sworn Murray was actually a left footer!

| It would be amazing if Murray didn't get a game after yesterday's top effort. However, I don't consider him a 'smoky' since it was clear that the club had a spot in mind for him when we traded away next year's 2nd round pick for him. |
