A big improvement on last week.
For those disappointed we didn't get Josh Schache and I was one. Don't be, he is as soft as butter in any contest. If they play him in from of Boyd they are just idiots. |

2 kicks, 2 handballs, 2 marks, 2 clangers - as least he was consistent. |

Murray's first outing promising. No left foot is a worry. A big worry. But seems like he is a line breaker exactly as we had hoped. Pencil him for round 1, meaning Crisp is in big trouble!!!
I don't like Moore back. He is looking more and moore like his dad every day and i'd be surprised if his strength from an extra pre-season wont help him become a better option up forward. I dont fully get the rationale.
Treloar ran the game out well, but was very poor in the first half. Lots of fumbles, lots of crap disposal. Was his first game of year so totally forgivable, but i dont think you just dismiss the DE as others have suggested (and i would be dissappointed if he played the year as he did in the first half).
Cox continues to be a conundrum to me.
Sidebottom is such a champion. So underestimated. think we should have given him more props over the years.
Mihocek, Smith, Crocker, making up numbers.
Maynard stuggling to find the ball this season. Hasnt been a factor first two games. Is he missing his home down back?
Howe is a gun! Love that guy.
Langdon looking great out there. Will play round 1.
Callum Brown looks like he can play. He looks very composed in traffic.
Thomas had a very nice game today. Looked really good in the middle!
Stephenson might play round 1 especially with Elliot, Wells and presumably Aish and Scharenberg out. Where the hell is Scharenberg? Is he hurt or being managed?
Round 1 Team
Murray Dunn Langdon
Maynard Moore Howe
Sidey Treloar WHE
Goldsack Stephenson [Faz]
Varcoe Cox Reid
Grundy Pendles Adams
Thomas, Phillips, [Brown], [Crisp]
Others (unav?): Elliot, Wells, DeGoey, Scharenberg, Aish, Greenwood (6)
Youth: McLarty, Murphy, Sier, Wills, Brown, Daicos, Kirby (7)
Fodder: Blair, Mayne, Broomhead, Crocker, Smith (5)

Just get him to run the length of the ground and score a try, so no disposal is required. |

I'd prefer to be able to win without a big positive tackle count.

He's looked lethargic in both pre-season games. |
Maybe it's Father Time knocking at the door. |

I am backing my man mason Cox to kick 40 to 50 goals this year. |
If he does that, I cannot see us missing out on finals. |

I saw the Grundy one. Geez, if he gets time for that, the game is getting real soft!
What did Vatcoe do?
Cox is going to worry the hell out of a lot of sides.
How good is Howe!?
Treloar will tidy it up, he's a dead set goer.
I think Brown showed some good things.
Only pre-season, but I like the way they ran the game out, 8 goal last qaurter was a nice finish. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Treloar got plenty of the ball but an under 60% DE still leaves questions. |
Treloar Disposal is really letting him down.
Reid barley ever touched the Ball.
Shocked Langdon went at 84% _________________ I am Da Man |

Yep, I was assuming we were 50 points down, then someone quoted the score and we were 17 behind. Funny critters, football fans. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

very happy with the result today. I can't see a regular place for Goldy and Faz will take his place.Elliot ,DeGoey, will be in front of Smith,Don't know if Shaz is available but he'll be down back somewhere .As for Murray,he's in and Cox will play every game this year. I watched the boys win, then drove down the road and watched the girls beat the lions. A great day to be a Pies supporter. |
