I have reservations about the article by Ben Guthrie because it arises from a question from a member at the AGM so the response is a spontaneous one from Geoff Walsh and the naming of Tom Hawkins is only a reference to someone who happens to play as a power forward and doesn't imply we have designs on recruiting Hawkins.

Yes, I don't think there's a risk of the Club being into TH.
I think there's more risk that TH is now joining the non-influential category Walsh alluded to.

No chance hawkins will leave Geelong, he's too invested in the area.

Only way he'd go would be like Stevie J, when his time was up and he could wring some dollars out of another club for a year or two when he's over the hill.
