If this is the game you are referring to, we actually won it:

I must be getting my games mixed up; certainly remember one year when the Doggies played North; went to the pub at 3 QTR time when North was up by 7 goals, only to watch on the TV as the dogs kick about 10 straight to pinch it

Yep, I think we had a game against North back in the Carey-era and got belted; was still a good day.

Looking forward to seeing how we go live; don't get to as many games as I would like, so pretty happy to not have to go far for this one

Wrong, I was there, circa 2000-01. We won the final match of the H&A season bs North. Nick davis kicked a massive barrel from 65m out on the boundary, and Ben Kinnear played his obligatory final round good game to win another contract. I think North May have been wearing Orange guernseys due to a sponsor deal.

Yep, it was the 2002 preseason game I was thinking of when we copped a fearful flogging, and it was against Sydney; got it mixed up with the game the year before.

What a weird thing to say. What’d he do, run over your teddy bear when he was getting his bruises in black and white ?

I don't care about these games really
I don't want a injury to any key players is all I hope for.
Looking at the selected side it won't line up any way near that.
In defence we named 2 starters for round 1 in Dunn and Crisp
We can't afford to lose any keep defenders so by only risking 2 is smart in some ways.
Reid & Goldie will probably play time in defence
The centre line has none of our certain starters for round 1
Our forward line has 1 in Cox
And I doubt Pendles or Sidey will be expected to be in and under ball winners at the bounce in round 1
The side picked gives mostly fringe players a chance to impress the selectors prior to round one while protecting most of our guns
Personally I wouldn't have risked Grundy Pendles Sidey or Cox but I guess we have to field some first 22 players
Everyone just cross your fingers for no injuries and hopefully the fringe players show some good signs giving us a selection headache for the right reason come round 1

Yep, means nothing.
I’m all over the first session of the first test in S A.

Besides, I can always catch up with all the negatives from the Pies game on here afterwards.

per Jen Phelan

James Aish has a minor calf strain, did it on Tuesday at training. Didn't go to Canberra, but the Pies are confident it's slight and he'll play against the Dogs on March 10.
