It was okay.It was more entertaining than most pre-season matches, and even some regular season matches, which probably says more about the way we play. |

Hard to get overly enthused about it, even with Pies playing.
Interested to see the new boys play, but agree with Adam Simpsons comments that he viewed it as just part of the teams pre-season training program. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

AFLX is ordinary although I was able to watch about 10 minutes of it last night, that's 9 minutes more than what I was able to devote to AFLW.

^ Perhaps you should suggest to Gil that they play them simultaneously and show them in split screen, which was a notable feature of their X coverage. |

Think the AFLX is the way the AFL Want's to try and sell it overseas and don't care what Aussies Think _________________ I am Da Man |

Yanks would hate this form of the game. My experience with foreigners is that the thing they love about aussie rules is the pad free brutality of the sport. If we want to sell AFL to America, send them games from the 70s and 80's!!! _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Yes, the "tackling from any direction", the "jumping on other players' heads", the "Aussie no rules" aspects are the things that interest foreigners. |

While they are at it, can they send it to us for the coming season as well?
I would crawl over broken glass to see another final like the '89 GF. |

To repeat myself from elsewhere, I think the international rules hybrid game we have with our Irish friends is far, far superior to AFLX.
I also have no idea why people are saying that this is great for children because of the smaller ground. It's possible to paint (the boundary line of) a small oval and not just a small rectangle --- or at least it was when I was in primary school. |

Like, are we gonna see AFL SE or AFL s, as we progress? |
Was thinking AFLW, AFLX, AFLY then AFLZ. _________________ How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say? |

Yeah, at least International Rules has the novelty of the net and the round ball. It's truly a weird game, which I mean in the nicest possible way.
In contrast, I switched this on tonight for about five minutes out of curiosity during the 'grand final' between Melbourne and Hawthorn and pretty quickly lost interest. If this is the international future of our game, then it's an interesting tactic in covert warfare – boring people from other countries to death. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
