How do indigenous players feel about the all-indigenous (except for the African players) team?

I don't know, but it's hardly a new concept. And why on earth do you think African players would be playing in an Indigenous team? That doesn't make any sense.

^ Ah, of course Marvel would have something to do with this. Where there's money, there's the AFL. Rolling Eyes

I didn't watch it last February, and I won't be watching it next February either.

Let's hope there isn't many Collingwood players participating in this gimmick.

Watching the draft on 7 mate (which is quite funny) so far Pendles, Sidey and Varcoe have been selected, max of 4 from any team.

It gives some insight into who players rate, I would have thought Curnow from carlton would have been picked by now, but no. They're going for running endurance and clean skills it seems.

I'll give it a look when it's on.

The draft itself was a bit ho hum but listening to the banter and comments from the 4 captains was fun.

One must ask is there a future for this AFL product—-i doubt it will progress

Unless coming generations will embrace it the same the glitzy Big Bash has been

Playing AFLX: Scott Pendlebury (Flyers), Steele Sidebottom (Bolts), Jaidyn Stephenson (Bolts), Travis Varcoe (Deadly).

Sport Thought: Clothes faketh the man

https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/sport-thought-clothes-faketh-the-man-20190209-p50wq3.html

"This week the AFL tried on another of its borrowed American obsessions by suggesting the AFLX men parade their fashion choices en route to matches in the manner of American stars. It's not a theory; it's on their website. "The players have been encouraged to express themselves … in the manner of their American counterparts", etc.

When used as marketing, self-expression is a loathsome idea. What you get when you tell someone to express himself is usually not worth hearing, or seeing, and can produce the mild nausea one now associates with all native advertising.
...

Despite Westbrook's passion for style, it's hard not to notice the ease with which already famous people adopt someone else's design and claim it as self-expression. And it is harder still to understand how the boys from Colac and Tasmania should lean on Westbrook for hints on self-expression via fashion, given his style is informed not only by the distorted life of a multimillionaire but also by his African-American heritage and culture."

The AFL really are a bunch of tosser's

This confirms it.

2019 " You must express your fashion boys "

Whats next?

2029 " You must play naked boys, like the Greek days "

Seeing Lebron James roll up to a Game, wearing a School Boy outfit with glasses, with shorts on and socks up to his kness, whilst holding a briefcase.

Really was Idiotic. One of the cringiest moments ive ever seen...

That would be a considerable improvement over AFLX. Call it AFLN!

But in all seriousness, can someone piss the marketers off please and tell the powers that be to stop ignorantly trampling over the game.
