Really disappointing outing... in particular deficiencies of Broomhead (his man simply read the play better, attacked the ball and ran away from him) and Blair (they knew to kick it in the air to the guy playing on Blair as it was always going to be a no contest). You only need a couple of players who are not up to it and the ball is quickly swept into the opposition forward line.
Maynard also trailed his man in then over committed on the tackle which set up easy scoring opportunities. Note for season proper... please, please, please don't play him in the backline.
As stated elsewhere, so many missed shots from less than 40 metres out is unfathomable from professional footballers.
Well and truly outclassed by a more skilful, harder running Adelaide.
Aish was very impressive and Stephenson showed real promise. Not many other positives apart from that. |

| The boys unseen in the first game will presumably start in the second. If Murphy gets some of the ball, maybe he'll be able to show the others how to kick properly. |

The other thing that hasn't changed is posters continual negativity.
This is nothing more than the equal of a hybrid practice hit out in terms of its relevance.
Somebody has to " win " this thing but I wouldn't be setting them up as any sort of bench mark as to how we should be performing.
No injuries are the only thing that matters tonight. |

Players getting the idea. mark inside 40 and handpass back to a player for a 10 point goal.
I can see this game kicking on and using a lot of basketball tactics.
