Someone has to play forward who is a recognised forward.
Everybody thinks our forward line is ordinary and our mid and back lines good.

Play him where it’s best for the team

Best I seen Moore play Mostly has been in the Ruck

Yeah but as a ruck, he's well behind Grundy and Cox.

Just about the Whole League behind Grundy as a Ruck and Cox is more a Ruck then a Forward.

Moore be good playing the Role Leigh Brown had in 2010 and afterwards as Forward/Ruck

I be more interested in how the lads combine to become a winning unit

Moore is important,so is Grundy or Treloar or Adams etc etc

I'd still like to see Howe going to the forward line still. Moore by himself wasn't working, at the very least he needed a foil, I think its time to rethink a strategy that would see Moore more mobile, Running the Back line up the wing to the Forward. He's at a stage in his career where we should be exploiting his height/mobility advantage and forgetting his weight - Just don't think he is genetically made to be a Tony Lockett - he is more of a Dustin Fletcher build.

Good points.

I think the contributions to this thread show that we have quite a few quality options, both forward and back Cool

cheers - I think its significant that we don't have leadership group representation in the forward line too. When was the last time we had a demanding, aggressive full forward?
Granted Darcy showed some glimpses but his domination was erratic perhaps due to no fault of his own. I used to love watching Molloy - he had a lot of presence. At his best Cloke could pull it off.

Might I suggest that in 2019 our spine could be the envy of every other team:

FB: McLarty/Dunne

CHB: Moore

CHF: Lynch

FF: Cox

Molloy played about 2 decent games for us. And the player we traded for him formed an impregnable backline for Brisbane leading to their 3 premierships (what was Malthouse thinking?).

Molloy played his best footy for us and came runner up in the 2001 copeland. Retired in 2003 because of ankle problems. Mal Micheal wanted to go from memory - yes he was a great player.

Peter really didn't criticize at all.
The SEN link on p.2 still seems to work, so Nicksters can listen & decide for themselves.

Anyone see the VFL final last year Mason Cox and Sam McClarty marked everything. Interesting that in the intra-club it was reported he did the same.

Why are we getting boners over Lynch so far out when anything could still happen?

he may re-sign, he may take an offer elsewhere, I don't even want to think about him unless/until we sign him.
