Said the same thing DTM, hope they shot the prick. I found out when my eldest texted me ‘I’m on the train home, I’m ok. Someone ran people over at the station 10 min before I got there, there was cops and people all over the road”. 10 min. I’ll pull the $£$%^%%$ trigger, I’ll give the injection, **** him/her. And I don’t give a shit how bad their day, their week, their year, their whole $£$%^%%$ life has been, kill your self don’t take anyone with you.

Has all the hallmarks of a terror attack.

You know I was thinking the last time I was at that intersection about how it would make for an easy target and sadly I appear to have been correct.

It might be fortunate that the 4WD crashed into the tram barrier or more carnage further along the street could have been the intention.

I was actually in the city today but thankfully my train left Flinders 20 minutes earlier than the incident.

Hopefully all of my fellow Nickster's are okay.

I saw a photo of the driver, looks more like a wannabe Hipster than a Muslim.

Thanks P4S – I’ve merged it in now.

Swoop, Lola and Ingmar were at that intersection at about 4:20 (apparently the attack occurred at around 4:45). Just goes to show how much luck can be involved in these things, and how much being in the wrong place at the wrong time can destroy your life in an instant. Of course, that is the precise awareness/fear that terrorists prey upon. I hope this wave will pass soon.
