Here’s one I found on You Tube.
The Pies at Victoria Park Round 1 1937, v Geelong unfurling our 1936 Premiership flag.
You really get to see what the ground was like back then, as well as the faithful supporters.
Highlights are views inside the old Vic Park rooms where Ron Todd & Harry Collier get rub downs. Look out for the glorious drop kick by number 22 the great Jack Regan when kicking out from full back. We won the game, but sadly lost the Grand Final to Geelong that year.

What a fabulous piece of film memorabilia, that Collingwood flag unfurling
round one of 1937
And that famous 22 worn by the Prince of full backs ,Jack Reagan
This was the kick in as I recall as a 12yr old around 1953 and #8 Jack Hamilton at Victoria Park
Another great exponent of this was Fitzroy,s Vic Chanter _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Currently if a player kicking in was proficient enough at the drop kick
Are they allowed to use it _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Watched a small bit of footage of the 1937 GF between Pies and Cats
Geelong won in front of 88,000 —the announcer said
“The players shook hands at start of last quarter “

Watched some footage of the great Thorold Merret and interesting snippet
Like Bradman who hit a golf ball with a cricket stump against a water tank
Thorold perfected his stab pass by hanging a car tyre on a rope then walking
back a distance then turned and stab passed the ball thru the suspended tyre
I saw him a lot from early fifties and his stab kicks were amazing _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Thanks for posting this link, Dave. Some of the best games I ever saw are there in whole or part. Very grateful. |

Yes Dave thanks also—brings back fond memories of me as a young boy
standing at Vic Park watching the Twomey Healy Merrett center line
And who can doubt the best half back line ever
