See an article that states as further part of review to be implemented
Some board members (unarmed) will be asked to stand down and Ed
will serve his term till 2020-there is as part of reveiw a period that a
president can serve (yet to be established)
Think article on FoxSport

The link & quotes are on p.5 of that thread.
Partly a separate topic, but partly a related topic, because some of this was announced at the Member Forum, and much debate was about this sort of thing. |

Bazboy noted in part:

WPT asked:
Will the said board members be replaced by armed members?
Is the next meeting place for unarmed members at the Venus de Milo arms hotel? _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

For any board member to be replaced there has to be a challenger. Unless I have missed something, there has been no challenger to become President and I can't remember anyone challenging to be an actual board member. Asking someone to stand down without a replacement is counter productive. |

Standing President,s term concludes 2020 procedure for the ongoing president position is a ways off
We have games to win and a dynasty to build before that event
To date Ed aint been really challenged in close on twenty years but that can change _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

A regime more open to the regular turn-over of board members could see more people put up their hand.
I'd love to see an "ordinary supporter" representative on the board, but at the same time, the influence and connections of senior professionals provided at no charge can't be lightly dismissed. |

Well all these proposed and actual changes have occurred in the context of Murphy's review. Rumour has it that Murphy was considering challenging (last year?) and Eddie promised the review, etc., to head off the challenge and cling to power. Do any Nicksters have any info on this? |
