After passing on pick 61, does this mean we have a spot left on the list?

Here's some Delisted Free Agents of note;

Jonathan Freeman
(age 23, 199 cm, Full-forward).

Played 14 games over 4 seasons with the Lions, which included zero in 2017.

Michael Close
(age 23, 197 cm, Full-forward).

Played 27 games over 4 seasons with the Lions, which included 10 in 2017.

The Lions lost, what?, 4 full forwards in 2017? Are both these guys just not up to it?

Stewart Crameri
(age 29, 190 cm, Med-Forward)

Played 99 games for the Bombers and Bulldogs since 2010. Has only played 2 games at any level since the end of 2015. (Asada Saga and injury).

Zac Clarke
(age 27, 203 cm, Ruck)

Played 101 games for Freo, including zero in 2017. Was available last year but remained at Freo. Dont think we need a ruck.

Billy Hartung

Nothing to see here, literally just picked up by North as Im typing this.

Ben Lennon
(age 22, 188 cm, Med-Forward)

Rated highly as a youngster, managed only 21 games for Richmond, with only 2 this year. Has age on his side and seemed to play really well in the VFL.

Nick Suban
(age 27, 182 cm, Mid)

After 156 games with Freo, no chance here. But maybe someone will rookie him?

Lachlan Hansen
(age 29, 197 cm, CHB)

Another Roos cull. Fills a spot as a tall defender but after rookie drafting Mihocek, we have found a younger option.

Do we want to take on any of these guys?? Or will we simply upgrade a rookie later in the year? (Rookie Draft happens on Monday)

Close is the best of that bunch. He struggled coming back from a ACL but started to find some form. Saw him a bit in the NEAFL and has some tools. Actually decent by foot and strong hands
Well worth a punt for mine as a rookie spot maybe a change of scenery will give his confidence a boost

Well we know that we'll be taking Oxley back as a rookie.

I dont have a problem taking another ruckman in the rookie draft, dont know if Clarke is the answer. Possibly a younger option available. (I'm looking at it like a break glass in case of emergency ruckman).

We've been linked to Crameri for over a month now, so we'll see if anything happens there. Either as a rookie or a DFA.

As far as Close/Freeman; both are KPFs. Both fill a need for the club. This need is in the eye of the supporters. Both dont seem to be long term options. Is it pointless to bring either in to fill the spot for a year or two?

I find it very alarming that the Lions let both these guys go as well as trading away another KPF in Shache.

Really? I hope not by any reliable source. Sadly for him, he's toast.

We have some training mysteries. e.g. Ramma is still training with us.

My bad.

I thought D F A was an acronym for Do F*** All

Dont mind Michael Close. Uses the ball well, just doesn't get it all that often.

So rookie-listing Schade isn't an option for insurance?
