He was best on ground in first half, ran out of steam a tad in the second half which is understandable _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Had my doubts, but his first half yesterday was outstanding.
I see a future for him now. I just hope he gets a good run at it and there's no further injuries down the track. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

With the retirement of Roughead who although a 202 cm size defender had lost a bit of what Murphy has—-pace!!!
So if he is still growing and against Freo and Caaarrlton showed what he can produce then he may well slot in as a replacement—not necessary on height but other attributes youth brings with it _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Agree, Murphy looked fantastic in defence, the perfect complement to Howe and Moore. His first half was massive. He has courage, pace, and showed brilliant intercept marking capacity. Hope he has far better luck from now on in avoiding injuries. He has massive potential. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Interesting he could have found his home in the back six !!
Just noticed Will Kelly ready to return who had been mooted as KPP but injury seems to haunt him
If by some twist of fate Will does become a good player Murph will not make way for Will _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

The big story is that Murphy got through two games without serious injury _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |

As I’ve said before stabilise of your body for AFL not a new thing
Just look at Darcy Moore early days and his journey to what we now have
Wish Murph the same journey and his & our rewards _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

He is probably one of the most pleasing things to watch on reflection in the replay. (It’s had a couple of viewings).
Struggled with injury- persisted and now gets the chocolates against our reinstated arch enemies.
I love madgen and always defended his efforts and inclusion - but if Murphy can string a couple together and continue to grow into the synergy of the back six he may and hopefully will cement a spot for the near future. _________________ No Pressure, No Diamonds

Great game. Well done him. Needs an injury free run at it to develop his confidence and consistency. Best match I’ve seen him play. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

I’ve always like his style of play and always doubted whether he was going to make it.
The Carlton game was the first game i saw from him where i understand why the pies are so high on him. He was without question an AFL caliber player. Even more importantly, he suggested in his style of play that he could almost play the Darcy Moore role. that is how good he was in my opinion.
I hope he can tone down the kamikaze enough to stay on the paddock for a few weeks. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

His journey has been “Darcy Moore “ like with injury dogging him for early years
So let’s hope like Darcy that’s behind him
He in fact timed his emergance well with Roughead retirement _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Bucks commented he needed to be more careful on the kamikaze stuff to avoid injury... _________________ Buon Giorno |

seems to have flown under the radar and hasnt attracted much attention. I tell you, if he can put together a string of games as strong as his games against Carlton and Hawthorn, we have found our third tall back. He frees up Moore and Howe to play their intercept brand of footy. Rarely beaten one on one. And takes a strong mark.
Lets just hope the boy stays on the paddock. Fearless and relentless and extremely athletic. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |
