Very disappointing although still have a long time until round 1 for recovery. Hopefully it is not too bad.

Yeah, won't stop running and weights (mostly), so best possible injury. He doesn't need skill work anyway Wink
Still not ideal though...

Bloody fantastic. Meaningless game. Made even worse by having to listen to that bore Zempilas.

To be honest, I'm pretty annoyed that our club has allowed a player who missed the last 7 games of the season to take part in this hit and giggle game.

I'm extra annoyed when you consider that that particular player is our captain and most important.

Sure it seems like it's a new finger he has broken but the facts are he should not have been out there in the first place.

This one is not a benefit from hindsight, just simply someone at our club needing to make a captain obvious decision in the first place.

Dumb!

Pretty stupid on Pendlebury's behalf to play as well.

If this photo is where he got the injury, then it's exactly how he broke his finger against Gold Coast this year. That was on July 15 and he hasn't played since.

These ridiculous games should not be played, especially featuring the best players in the comp.

Had the same feeling when in VFL years and we used to have at least three
players in Interstate games

Most of these games were mid season and we had frequent injured players

Absolute rot

Don't care if the games take place, however our players, especially our senior players coming back from injury should not take the risk.

While I'm unhappy he reinjured his finger, I'm proud he represented our club as the only Collingwood player out on the ground in the international rules game and also happy we won the game. Hopefully his finger recovers before the first home and away game.

Tuned in to watch the last 5 minutes of the 3rd qtr, and had the game on in the background for the last. I didn't see or hear of Pendles at all. Immediately I think the worst... fast fwd an hour-and-a-half later, check Nick's....and FMD!

Quite clearly it's osteoporosis....or he's just very unlucky!

In all seriousness, it's a setback for our club, but only a minor one...but still sh!t none-the-less. Pendles needs to get himself a left and a right Skywalker hand. If he was any type captain, he'd do it without a second thought.....

Go the Pies!

SP says it's only a minor injury, great news

Only minor little injury tonight! Great to get the result tonight, loved pulling on the Aus jumper.

Nothing, zip, on the Collingwood website.

Supporters have to go to media sites to find out what's going on at the club.

Very poor communication.
