Reading all about his re-signing and chats with Bucks ,Ed and Pendles

Went on to talk about his footy ideas and becoming an Australian citizen

But what bought a smile to my face was this " Want to get a missus and
settle down"

Not the normal name in US for a wife so ya big Yank hope you be proud to
be one of us

Brian Taylor said during one of the games this year that Mason and the netballer Sharni Layton were an item but I've heard / seen nothing since so either they were and now not, or never were. None of my business of course.

Well he couild go back to to being an Okie and get shot in church or go to a barndance with his hayseed missus and make a living coaching on the high school sports team.

His opportunities in Australia are fairly large. And some of those netballers are hot.

And when his footy career finishes (hopefully many years from now) there are lots of jobs in Australia for mining engineers and probably less applicants here than in Texas.

Looking forward to him becoming a game changer in 2018.

i love the optimism. I'd just like to see if he can actually deserve a spot in the team and not be a liability. If he does that, he will have far exceeded my expectations of him.

you are all setting him up for failure by anointing him the next messiah, because even if he ends up just a best 22 caliber player, that might be now considered a failure. In fact, if he did that, it would be one of the success stories of modern footy - Getting a Yank to play Aussie rules footy competently at the highest level.

I suspect his grasp of the English language is reasonably good too.
