Surely this thread could have waited until official?

If correct why wouldn’t some of these blokes have been put up for trade? Say a future 3rd round pick in what’s meant to be a strong draft?

Some will say maybe they were, but we would have heard about it.

It’ll be sad to hear if true. The first three all looked like they probably wouldn’t make it, but I thought Smith, at least, had done enough to get another season.

I'm guessing they were and no other team wants any of them. And when you see the list of delisted free agents from the other clubs (some of whom are pretty reasonable players) is it any surprise.

Whilst it is sad for the players, as a supporter it just confirms that the list is getting better. Blair, Greenwood and possibly even Varcoe to finish up next year.

Assuming it’s true re Ben S, I guess it’s down to medical advice, but he seems to me the big loss of that group. A lot of talent and potential which disappeared into the medical room. His last few games were outstanding. Such a pity.

No mention of Smith, so is he still on the list? Total mystery to me how someone of Smith's ability can remain on the list.

Couldn't bring it forward a year could we?

Sinclair at his best was good enough. While some here were not fans, its hard to argue against his commitment as well as the injuries he has endured.

Ramsay's knee injury came at the worst possible time. Without it he was playing well enough to cement a spot.

Im glad we are attempting to keep Oxley as a rookie. I think he offers a fair bit and with a good run of it he could work his way back onto a senior list.

All the best to Jacko , I thought he showed a bit until he got re injured, ANZAC DAY was hard for him when that little shit Fantasia took him to the cleaners. Sinkers when on the park was handy, but got too many injuries, all the best to both lads.

All the best to the lads they tried there guts out every time they pulled on the jersey.
I thought when we went after Murray it spelt the end of a couple of our HBF types.
2018 will be a pivotal year for a few players I'm guessing.
Smith Sier, Blair, Langdon all off contract and it being a year of the supposed super draft.
Could also be the end for Wells and Varcoe. Wells needs to play (by memory) 14 or 15 games this year to trigger his 3rd year of the deal and Varcoe I believe is out of contract and has had several tissue related injuries the past 18 months.
