Going by just about every Draft Expert. That we be taking Fogarty at 6

Seems like it would be a very popular decision among fans.

I have just read that Fox are going heavy on the data at the live telecast on Friday. Some of the differences in ranking points compared to their selection order will be extreme.
Data is great but it won't help you with a prospects character, work ethic, being a dickhead on social media etc.
That's the stuff that all us " arm chair experts " just don't know enough about.

If anyone is going to watch the Fox telecast, please report what data they roll out.

Re. character, etc., our club has been going around asking the prospects what fruit they are ...

^^^
Troy Luff is on, so the data will come from Champion Data resources. Purely statistical.

As for the fruit, well if it ain't fruit, it's cars. All clubs do it, it's just an " engagement " exercise.

On a serious note, if people really knew the lengths to which prospects were scrutinised over their off field activities, it would blow you away.
It's an expensive exercise to bring these guys into their system. The last thing they need, is someone who isn't focussed on getting the best out of their footy.

Yeah, I'm interested to find out what those CD resources are.

Indeed, fruit, cars, ... Supposedly tests whether they can think on their feet, I think. Also, some club asked whether they preferred chicken or beef or something like that. The counting backwards in 7s from some high number is a standard psych test.

Re. expenses, Bucky claims it's $400k per draftee.

Some whispers that Stephenson is now very much in the frame at pick 6.

If we can't get Cerra or Darcy Fogarty I would settle for Stephenson. His elite speed is what we need when you have a team consisting of Greenwood, Crisp, Blair, Dunn, Smith, et. al.

I'd be happy with Stephenson.

I'd be content with Fogarty as he was an early favourite of mine and a few others certainly have claims to be taken (Cerra most likely is still our No.1 choice of who could be available) but Stephenson has been my personal hope for a while.

For me elite foot skills, speed and line breaking ability or key position depth were our most pressing areas of need.

Foot Skills, class and high possession accumulator - Cerra

Key Position - Naughton

Speed, dare, outside run and forward nous - Stephenson

Gee I hate Brisbane FC. Why Cameron Rayner? He's too good for them.

Good. Freemantle go Brayshaw at pick 2. Cerra may fall to us.
