Shame we don't have a second round pick [/quote]
We sort of do with first pick in 3rd rd and GWS losing a first rounder. Of course these friggin consolation picks do not help. The pick should come off the picks of the gaining team and not dilute the other 16 clubs picks. When all the GWS and Suns players get free agency all hell will break loose. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

Yes indeedy: Eachtime the word "all" was at the beginning of a sentence lower case was used. Caught my eye _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

I know hes supposedly in the 10-15 range, but Id love to see us take Jack Higgins.
Hes a proven footballer who from reports should be ready to contribute day 1 as a small forward. Kicks goals, crumbs, smart, and applies pressure.
Instead of a Smokey, take a sure bet. |

Fogarty is your powerful tall midfielder and 3rd tall forward option. He'll provide cover in two areas of the ground and might be the way the game has turned up forward. Struggled with injury this year.
Coffield. Is he the next Pendlebury in waiting and like Scott will jump higher in selection on draft night than expected. Tall, smooth mover, pacey and reliable disposer of the ball. Has played most his football to date off half back an area we've looked to improve on already with Murray. |
I think you're right about Brander. Sutherland was the KPP we might have wanted but he went to cricket.
Coffield is my pick from watching the draft clips. Very quick, good disposal. 190cm and Northern knights captain, so a leader too. Is he the Bontompelli-type of sorts we missed drafting a couple of years ago?
Can't find a clip where Jaidyn Stephenson has consistently good disposal or option taking. Definitely has some wheels though. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership

I just want the best player available.
Assuming Cox continues to develop and if the club is confident of getting Tom Lynch next year, then that will likely result in Moore moving to defence. With McLarty a likely prospect as well, then all of a sudden our urgent need for KPPs is not as great as first imagined. Looking at the players we need to move past, in Greenwood, Blair, Broomhead, as well as Wells (because of his age and proneness to injury), I actually would like to recruit another absolute gun quick midfielder. Still, wtfwik? |

Just from what other pundits have written based on their experience of watching juniors etc
eg: Snoopdog, Twomey, Knightmare, Balmer etc, and also the google searches re the players etc.
Also talking to a colleague at work who watches the Grammar school games & local games (he said a few years ago that Merrit of Esendon was by far one of the best of that draft well before he was selected), and other bits of info.
I aslo speak with my neigbour's aunt whose sister in law overheard while at the hairdressers some talk of who might be picked...
It's all a bit of fun in the end.
I still want Aiden Bonar despite him not being a KPP.

Aiden Bonar? Isn't that what Viagra is supposed to be for? |

At your age you'll take a Bonar whenever you can find one.
