"Victoria Police said on Tuesday evening the woman had requested an end to the investigation."

You'd think that if a crime had been committed then the police would pursue charges regardless of the wishes of the alleged victim.

The fact is because no crime has been committed (see above) she does not have a case that would stand up in court. So the police have dropped it, citing the woman's desire for it to be dropped so the Fem-Left won't cry outrage at police inaction.

If that mob of ambulance chasers are involved, definitely a payoff.

Shouldn't it be a civil issue anyway? If they paid her what she's asked to remedy the situation then it should be over.

^

She made a complaint to Police, they investigate.

She gets paid out, withdraws the complaint, no one is dead or injured, Police had no reason to not drop the complaint too.

How about a cut to cover the waste of Police time who could have been better employed investigating real crime.

Maybe the guy who sent the text could pay that too, he was certainly a cad!

Gotta be seen to be doing something.

I heard Eddie mention on MMM this morning that the player who took and passed on the photo had already "had his nose pulled, hard".

So Richmond knows who it was, but the walls are up.

I assume either him or the Richmond Footy club are paying her so he already is. Iam surprised harvey Weinstein hasn't been named.

His identity must surely be widely known now (i.e. not just by the RFC & police).
