Can depend upon the draft they're taken in of course.
2 of 3 of these guys stepping up this year is vital to see us return to the finals. |
I'd argue De Goey is already a star of our team. Injuries reduced his impact toward the end of the season, but overall, he has come on beautifully. He is our Nat Fyfe. |

^ I reckon DeGoey is a potential star, but he only had one match-turning contribution iirc correctly last year. Badly needs consistency to make the oppo coach’s worry list. Question is whether he’ll mature enough upstairs to ever be great. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

😂😂 Degoey is so far behind Fyfe he can’t even see him in the distance.
Didn’t Fyfe win something called a Brownlow? |

De Goey will be a star when he can string together a run of good games. Until then all he is is a player with potential, which I'm sure is what Buckley is telling him. The stars in the team are Pendlebury, Adams, Sidebottom, Howe and Grundy who put in every game. De Goey can join the others if he wants to. |

Add Carey and Gary Ablett to your list. Better to win your club B & F than the Brownlow. |

^Agree Scooby. He has plenty of potential, but hasn't even finished in the top 10 of the Copeland Trophy, let alone one of the best 3-5 players in the AFL.
Even Jarryd Blair has finished top 10 of the Copeland in the past 2 years.
De Goey shows glimpses but may not yet be even in our Top 10 players
Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Adams, Treloar, Grundy, Howe, Wells, Elliott are all ahead of him at least. Maybe Crisp, WHE, Fasolo too _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

I did note that Jayden Stephenson mentioned just 2 players he was eagerly looking forward to playing with and learning off - Pendles and De Goey. |

Maybe, blurting out the two names that came to mind under pressure, he was really thinking he wanted to learn from the first and take the place of the second.
By the way, Rudey, you should perhaps at some point learn the young lad's correct name. |

I hate Jayden, Jaiden, or even Jeyden. And don't get me started on Jordan.
Why haven't we got any Bills, Bobs, Jacks or Jims in our team? |

If we're not careful we may end up with a Sue in our team. |

Do you really wanna debate that De Goey is up there with Fyfe.
Your examples don’t stack up either, over there whole careers ( Woewodin, Brian Wilson, Brad Hardie) were all better than what degoey has shown so far
He’s not a gun or a champion or even a consistent solid player
Yet. Hopefully he gets there. But Fyfe is 100 miles ahead |

That's what Buckley should be drilling into him over the preseason. He has the talent to succeed. The next bit is the application. |
