Well, the same has been said of Blair as well, and yet he keeps weaselling his way back into the 22 by default.... |
I don't want JB in the team, either - but he was good today. He helped out at both ends of the ground (including by stopping at least two certain goals that I can think of). The loss wasn't his fault. |

If Appleby can get a game against the premiership team in his first game I can't see what was stopping Mayne from getting a game. |

The game was past him by the end of 2016, and we said so on this forum during that year's trade period.
Not Mayne's fault some club idiots over valued his wage and remaining talent.
The time to re-introduce him would have been around mid-season, and no sooner, when we could factor in genuine player management in that period. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Not blaming Blair for the loss, and i'll probably watch the game again midweek for further analysis. Fact is we needed leg speed today; not plodders.
I blame the coach - not him. FAIL. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

People will see what they want to see, but Mayne wasn’t actually that bad today. Generally used the ball well except for that shot at goal (and he wasn’t Robinson Crusoe there). My issue is I just can’t see what he brings to the team. Blair brought his speed, pressure and one-percenters today, and has surely earnt a recall; Mayne, on the other hand, just never really got involved. Hard to see him keping his spot next week. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Mayne —-if Flynn could come into the side and perform with no experience
Why did not Mayne perform with his experience _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I thought Mayne did ok ,, the pressure on him to preform would be immense, lm not a fan of him at all, but credit to him he had a go all day, he is well ahead of Blair imop |

For what it’s worth, Buckley said in his press conference that Mayne had played his role and that he was “mostly” happy with his performance. Not sure if that’s damning with faint praise or whether he genuinely saw something in Mayne’s game that most fans missed. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Hey even 2 goals, and a win, and i'll be happy with that, given the current/latest injury run we've been blessed with... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |
