I've always disliked the backwards flag. |

Reminds me of the time the club got into trouble with the government for accidentally having the placing of the two flags switched. Amazing, huh? |

So, true story, for 6 months now in my spare time, I've been working on a new Collingwood logo(s) with some graphic design friends.
I have a big logo change presentation which I was hoping to share with Eddie at the end of season members' forum. Unfortunately, we still haven't had one and I don't know how to get my logo change proposal in front of the club.
The timing of the release of this new logo has flattened me. I think it is a cheap, lazy effort, and it may have beaten me to the punch (as in, I would've loved the board to consider my proposal, or at least have members vote on it). My logos are a progressive take on the current logo, with a nod to our Vic Park history.
Anyone know how I can share my proposal with collinfwood? Does anyone have an email address to the senior team (led by eddie)?
I'm confident that when you see my proposal for the next phase of Collonngwood, you'll be impressed. I might simply upload it here and let you all have a look. _________________ Est. 2002 |

I'll try and do so within the next 24 hours.
I'm still in shock re: the timing.
Worse comes to worse, I'll make my own unofficial apparel and sell it online 😉 _________________ Est. 2002 |

the VFL shield logo will always be the best |

my thoughts exactly. the flags have always seemed very out of place, especially after the australian flag had to be switched over to the other side.
I actually don't mind the new logo, however, I'll always be partial to a good monogram and I love our CFC monogram. It should be used in conjunction with this new official mark.
Broader strategy of the club is reflected in this new logo. We're no longer just a 'football club', we're 'Collingwood'. Manchester United did a very similar thing to their logo a couple years ago (the subtle removal of the 'football club').
Btw, logo has been lodged with IP Australia: https://search.ipaustralia.gov.au/trademarks/search/view/1870821?q=collingwood |

I'd prefer two same sex magpies facing each-other & holding a premiership cup. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |
