Post subject: Social Club membership changes | |
|
Per the email from the Club yesterday:
Quote: | The club has reviewed the structure of our Social Club offering and have made the following changes in the best interests of the existing and future members:
* Social Club is now sold as an add-on product to any level of membership. As such, your renewal has reset you into a <equivalent games entry to last year> membership, however you're also welcome to upgrade this to any category of membership.
* Social Club can only be added onto Season Ticket Home memberships, or greater.
* The Social Club add-on option will provide access to all Social Club facilities at the MCG, Etihad Stadium and The Glasshouse at the Holden Centre. This add-on also includes club voting rights.
* All members that upgrade to a Social Club will receive the 2018 Social Club medallion.
Increasing the overall number of Social Club members is a priority to the club and the above changes have been made in order for us to be able to attract more members to the Social Club areas.
We hope that the changes will allow all members access to a more affordable membership package, without compromising any existing benefits.
For any questions regarding the changes to Social Club membership in 2018, please contact Collingwood Membership Services on 1300 MAGPIE (1300 62 47 43) during business hours, or email membership@collingwoodfc.com.au. |

I'm a social club member & I haven't received this email, nor many others during the season.
I just checked my 'My Magpies' account & all boxes are ticked to receive communication. Disappointing _________________ Ohhhh the premierships a cakewalk for the good old COLLINGWOOD |

Giving voting rights to the upgrade is a good thing. |

I received the email from the club yesterday and emailed back on a couple of confusing points. Got a prompt email back. Until I receive the actual renewal notice I don't know whether my membership has gone up or not. The general text of the email is to promote social club membership by making it easier to become a social club member by paying an extra add on price to whatever membership package you're on. The telling point though is much extra you will have to pay to become a social club member. It's OK to promote social club membership but if it's not not affordable, it puts it out of reach with members with limited budgets. |

So what sort of pet have you got Hiss?
I would have as having ferrets, as you seem to like rabbits. |

Question: does everyone who has a Social Club membership receive a copy of the club constitution? |

What about interstate members?
We have 3 interstate social club member in our family, that gets us into 5 home games per year (and a game in our city).
If it is only an add on to a "season ticket" does that mean interstate members will be cut off?
p.s. I also haven't received the email. _________________ Sydney Collingwood Supporters Club

What does this mean for access to GF tickets?
Will that now be based on level of membership or all SC members?
Not that we have to worry about that in the near future

He owns two fine Eastern Brown Snakes that he sets on both visitors and strangers alike. _________________ "To know nothing of events before your birth, is to forever remain a child" - Cicero (Roman Lawyer/Senator) 46 BCE. |

I'm totally confused - something which aint hard to do to me these days I guess.
I received my renewal notice today. I've been a social club member for 38 yrs, and am currently a Legends member. Does the new system mean that if I simply renew my membership, then I will retain my reserved seat etc, but cease to be a social club member, UNLESS I pay an additional $100 and tick an add on? WTF??? |

I have a 5 game Membership, why cant my type of barracker, pay, say, an extra $20 on the day of the game, at the door, to access the social club. ?? It aint bloody rocket science. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.
