There is an AFL member on this board who is quite open about selling their GF ticket to cover the cost of their membership for the following year.

And if we aren't playing off in the decider, does it matter?

The AFL is only going to give away this ticket to another one of their corporate mates, instead of a member/supporter of one of the two competing teams.

When the systems f&cks you, f&ck it back?

Or did I miss your point? Laughing

No point, I just gave the facts without offering an opinion either way.

Personally, I think this particular person is quite clever (and ballsy) doing it.

Only full Gold AFL members whose team is participating should have access to GF tickets, if any are left then they can be offered to the Silver membership holders & so on down the line, that's the fairest way, IMO.
I don't understand why I should be entitled to go see a GF if my team is not participating?
Every other Final sure, have access but not the GF.
Same with MCC, participating members first & then tickets offered to the rest.

My brother gets free Corporate seats every year, OK last year fair enough as he's a WB supporter but every other year he gets to watch the GF along with others who don't GAF.
That’s not right!

This is why the 2010 replay was the best, not because we won (it helped obviously) but because most of the members/fans from both teams were able to access GF tickets.

And you know what?
That's how it should be!
