Great news. Really rate him.

Might be some secondary gains too if he can convince a gun Giant or 2 to come to Collingwood??

I was so happy to hear this news and was hoping that he would be back in a defensive coaching capacity.
Bit disappointed. Oh well. Welcome home Captain.

Matty Boyd and Nick Maxwell and ya know what they are ours and I am so happy our kids have these men to show them not just the way but the right way

Well said BazBoy. Maxy coming back is the best Collingwood news in ages I reckon.

Corporate speak for HR Manager

More OD Manager; Organisation Development. The way it reads he'll be working with the staff as much as the playing groups.

Help me out here ...

As the OD will he reporting to the CEO or the 2IC or the CCO, the COO, the CIO, the CTO, the CTIO, the CBO or the BSO

Brilliant, love it. Laughing Laughing

It's not irony that GWS made the eight and went fairly deep into finals

Maxwell as leadership person at the club the have achieved sucsess --now we want the same

you would have to say that GWS greatly underachieved this year. Their list should be flag worthy this year.

The idea that Maxy got them in the 8 is laughable.

Dont get me wrong, i think Many is a solid person and likely a great coach in the making, but lets not suggest that he made the difference.

Show me a great list and i'll show you a great coach.

by the way, i think you means to say "coincidence" and not "irony".

Irony will be that the success that Collingwood achieves next year will be credited to Maxwell and Boyd and not Nathan Buckley, EVEN THOUGH he is criticized for every great player or coach we cant lure to the club!!!!

Thanks E for your view on my post and yes my selection of grammar inadequate

GWS did not have real success I agree

But sure would have loved us there instead of an under achiever

Maxy has many admiral qualities you would want in a person of authority.
He's a magpie through and through and you can't have to many people around who care and love the place like he does.
I wonder with his time away if he's gleaned any strong thoughts on how the game should be played and can't he impart this knowledge onto Buckley who by his own comments is always eager to learn new things.
I like the pairing of both Boyd and Maxy they weren't the greatest players but they gave there all at all times and got everything out of themselves.
Quality people
