I could never understand why the old fella did not accept that cushy job, hell, 500K per year, for a sixty something aint bad coin, compared to aged pensioners not much older than he is. Confused

The press are saying that Trevour Hendy will get the chop too.

I've got nothing against Hendy, but I never understood why an AFL coach would need a mentor with no background in football.

Balme is still considering walking according to the CFC press release. If he goes, he will be a great loss, because his sense of humor is needed around the place to lighten the atmosphere from all the alpha-male testosterone driven blokes trying to out do each other in seriousness, hardness and competitiveness. Sometimes you need someone to remind everyone that footy is a game, so lighten up fellas and enjoy the ride.

With all these changes it obviously means that the board of the club
is not happy with the football department.

You don't have to necessarily be "unhappy" with a structure to seek to improve it.
