Anyone reckon he would be a good prospect as a Key back? North have missed all their big fish targets so far and we have mids/utilities galore. I like the romance of another Taz in B&W. I'd offer Aish and a late pick if necessary.

He'd be a great signing, very good player. I wouldn't favour a deal though, not in the right age bracket at 28.

Aish has to agree to any trade

I think so mate. Won their B&F too. The Aish part of my OP was just a suggestion. Just reckon we need a big key back and he could fit the bill. I reckon a few here underestimate him.

I'd say he'd be a Kangaroo for life mate; but yes would love to see him join the ex-pat Roo list! We're becoming a Greater Western Kangaroo composite! lol.

On the long list for 2016 AA selection, but ultimately missed out, behind Rance, D.Talia and J. McGovern.

What was his 2017 like?

I guess the question is, do North want to do a complete rebuild and trade anyone over 27-28? There's been talk about Goldstein on the move, and after their bombshell last year, could there be any others they'd look to trade out for picks?

Tarrant is one of their most important players, he is also their VC. But he is at the stage where he may only offer 40-50 more games in his career. Can North push for top 4 in that time? No.

Yes, he would be a perfect fit for us right now. And the Tarrant name would add some romance to this idea. But I'm just worried about what North would want for him? They'd want to make sure we paid. And pick 36 wouldn't get it done.

The next question is, would he actually want to come here? And will our window be open in the next 1-3 seasons?

For interest sake, here are the players aged 28 & over at the NMFC;

Tarrant (28 )
Higgins (29)
Thomas (29)
Goldstein (29)
Swallow (30)
Thompson (31)
Gibson (31)
Waite (34)
