Actually, Tom Lynch (191cm) is a medium not a tall. As is McGovern (also 191cm). So the Crows forward line gets a pass from me, with the two talls in Walker and Jenkins, two mediums and two smalls. A very good mix.

We have the right mix at the moment as well (on size, not talking quality or even role), just missing one medium. It's why the Mayne signing made sense to me, bring in the attacking medium, WHE and the defensive, Mayne:

Cox, Moore, Elliott, Fasolo, WHE, ??

Continuing the discussion: if we landed Lever (and have a fit Langdon, Scharenberg), that extra medium could be Howe. Inconsistent as a forward at Melbourne, but most forwards are. Ideally, looking to the future, we'd have a younger option but WHE and Howe as our mediums would be dangerous.

If everybody is on the same page regarding Lever and that is Buckley, Hine and Walsh they get no argument from me whatever the decision they make. The question mark over Mayne, relates more from the size and term of his contract than from his perceived playing ability.

Were you asleep when we gave up 17 first round draft picks for Treloar?

Lever seems to have a bigger profile than Treloar had, bit more well known, from memory, only us and the tigers really wanted Treloar, many clubs seem to be into Lever, now the Deees want him too. Surprised

Lever might well be a premiership player by next week and you have to wonder why he'd want to leave at such an early stage of his career in such circumstance.

About 300,000 reasons per year to leave....

^^As in that's what the Crows offered him? It was an insulting offer. It seems like he's leaving, but after a Premiership win he could change his mind.

Hopefully today's game will drop his trade value, or do we pass based on today's performance and seek only big game players?
Easier said then done!

Well Lever would want to have a better game for starters...

I think I still haven't seen Lever win a one-on-one marking contest. I'm not sure if I just haven't seen enough of him play.

He looked very, very average in the finals. He was poor last week and got thrashed this week. I can't believe that people were pencilling him in to replace Langdon - he's slower and soft. I do help Melbourne gives up 2 first round picks for him, though, because he's worth about a late second-rounder.

No, that's the difference per year between staying and going. Crows have a tight cap. Probably because they're paying that spud Jenkins 700K per year

Certainly didn't do anything during the finals to convince me that he's a player we need let alone give up a 1st rounder for. Handy player but doesn't warrant the high price.

Thought Lever was ok in the GF but Scharenberg can play more or less the same role. Think Saad who has a little more pace, would be a better addition and would cost less.

The hype on Lever has been twice his value. Let some other bunny pay it.

He wasn't the only player from Adelaide who didn't do anything.
