I'm happy to activate the no dick head policy when it comes to Stringer.
He will be under so much scrutiny, the club and coach don't need the distraction.
As another poster correctly wrote " he was an AA at 21 " ...... and then not wanted by the club at 23 |

NAB trade radio referred to him as the leader of a Collingwood-esque rat-pack...
Could be why we've put a line through him.
We've systematically eliminated the original rat pack, why start a new one... |

"systematically eliminated the original rat pack"?
I think that's a myth that gets perpetuated a little too often around here. Apart from Heath Shaw, the rest of the 'rat pack' played out their careers with Collingwood and retired because they were finished. That would be Swan, Didak, Johnson and perhaps Tarrant. I wouldn't even classify Shaw as being eliminated, iirc it was he who instigated any talk of a move. Unless I'm mistaken I don't think any others were part of the group _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

The system was a long play....
Let's wait it out until they leave. |

Swap Fasolo for Stringer, straight swap, win-win for both clubs ?? Just asking, is Stringer really a dickhead, or could the Pies straighten him out ?? Just asking. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Pretty sure the club isn't equipped to handle all of the problems that Stringer has. I will be fascinated to follow the career of this former AA forward. such a fast fall from grace is pretty rare. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Actually, I think were uniquely situated to get the goods out of Stringer. Our culture is hard, crushing, and no fun. The one good thing about that is someone like stringy wouldn’t have a chance of starting anything, It would be "work or die". Play funny buggers and its no game for you. I would love to get him, he has the "x-factor" we always need more of, and skills up the wazoo, at 23 I say GET him!!
(but of course we won't ) _________________ "If at first you dont succeed...

Yeh, he and Elliott are both X factors, looks like Essendoper have the inside running on him but. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Doesn't matter what he can do if as - by all reports - he is a slow motion train wreck.
If the reports are wrong or drastically inflated fine but if accurate or nearly so he's just unsalvageable. |

Nice highlights package - but nothing from 2017 - his form has dropped dramatically since.
Still if we could get him with our 3rd rounder then I'd do it.
More than that would be a stretch if the reports about him are true. |

Reports of what?
Turning up late to training - which he has denied? |

We have a guy on the list who pleaded guilty a few years back to recklessly causing injury and affray that many of you think should be captain but, at the same time, it appears some people have qualms about Stringer's character. How does this work? |
