According to the AFL site, late last week Josh Thomas signed a one-year deal with the 'pies for 2018.

Now that Josh is signed we should re-sign Keeffe as well.

Rupert Wills re-signs for two years, and Josh Thomas re-signs for another year.

I don't understand the logic of not keeping Keefe. When they played him back he was more than half decent. He was elevated this year due to a perceived short defence. They played him forward reasonably often in the VFL.

In my view that was a poor decision.

JT is a good news story.

i understand the logic of not keeping Keeffe he is not that good Jessie White was preferred to him this season
We needed another KPP this year and he is not good enough
Will be surprised if any other club recruits him

Left with only 5 primary list players >= 195cm (Cox, Grundy, Moore, McLarty, Reid) and one of those (McLarty) is yet to play a game. Lynch on the rookie list makes 6.

Brayden Sier (one-year extension) and Max Lynch (one-year extension) have both re-signed. Lynch will also remain on the rookie list.

Also, Blair is not listed as a free agent on the AFL website so presumably he will be with the club next year and is therefore contracted for 2018.

Only Sinclair, Ramsay and Smith remain unsigned for 2018 and beyond.

Did I miss Blair re-signing for 2018? Should be 2017 I think.

Also, Sinclair is an unrestricted FA.

I heard somewhere that there were triggers in this years contract that if met would give him another year for 2018, but I can't find any links to confirm it.

What was the trigger, manage to tie his shoelaces correctly in at least 50% of training sessions?

Jake Niall confirmed that he's out of contract at the end of 2018.
