Treloar chooses Richmond, he's closer to a flag than at Eddiewood. |
Too simplistic to say that Bucks stays and he would have played in multiple premierships. Put simply, had he stayed, Brisbane would not have had cap space to get Alistair Lynch. Brisbane may have performed better in those years, lost earlier draft picks, never got Matthews or other generous concessions including the Lions merger.
Everything has to come together to win a premiership.
Treloar made a judgement at that time. Just like Judd did when he chose Carlton. |

No Culprit, it's not that, it's how Treloar delivered his statement.
If he had've said I prefer to play at COLL because I love the Club instead, no one would've batted an eye lid, there was no need to mention RICH or their list because now he looks like a fool.
Similar to Buckley all he needed to say was, I wanna play for COLL as I love the Club, end of.
Not this bullshit I wanna play Finals at COLL & BNE aren't (or whatever the fk he said back then).

It's the Club's failure. It's easy when you're talking and being asked questions to say something that may come back to embarrass you. Treloar made a rather innocent and harmless statement on a club video. Collingwood's media guys should have cut that part out and asked him to say something safer. And they couldn't even prevent video footage being leaked before the announcement of his signing... Are they incompetent? |

Anyhoo, I hope everybody can spare a thought today for Brett Delidio, who chased the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow at GWS in the last trade season, and paid the ultimate price yesterday for leaving his mates in 2016.
But Vickery, who tried the same stunt at Whorethorn can suck dogs balls.
