So how many assistants/support staff did Richmond actually replace , anyone know?

So far we've lost a single line coach (some argue our best one) and two others will be repositioned within the FD.

Surely we'll be adding more than just one new full time line assistant and suspect we'll see the addition of a senior assistant/coaching director also.

For those who missed Eddie on "On the couch" the other night he was asked directly about the Gubby Allen scenario and he said and I quote "we spoke to the afl first before hiring Gubby and were told by the afl that there was no repercussions heading his way then we were blind sided by it"
So I think in all fairness to Eddie and the club they did there best to make sure before the appointment only for the afl to change tacts.
I wonder had Gubby stayed at GWS if he (and lambert) would have been suspended or was this the afl way of getting back at those 2 who they hand picked from other clubs to go to GWS for leaving

Whether we hire Hird or not, I want this story to have legs, even just to stir Slobbo's pot a bit.

Yeah I can see Slobbo on his couch late at night in his jocks, watching re-runs of Letterman, his singlet stained with tears, spilt booze and rendered lard from the KFC.

Over and over he replays all the things he did for James. How he was always there for him. How in Hird's hour of need, Slobbo stood by him and rallied everyone to support him. How Slobbo trusted him and now how he's been betrayed.

How could Hirdy go to Collingwood? How could he go to Eddie? How could he go to Buckley? Those bitches could never love James as much as Slobbo does!

"F&*$ing whore!!!!", Slobbo snarls and in a wild swipe of a pudgy, hairy arm, he send a half slab of empties flying from the coffee table.

"I doen needjoo enn-way... Fuggn... wh.. fuggn..." and with that, he collapses into another fit of sobbing. "I doen needjoo hoo... hoo..."

Slowly, Slobbo reaches for the mobile. If only James knew how much he meant to him....

Just wanted to quote this as a truly undervalued post.

Rocca offered a role as part time ruck coach. I was hoping we would clear the decks and do some forward planning and in saying that we are going nowhere with dumb decisions like this one.

Yep, confirms what I posted yesterday from Peter Ryan. He has pretty good Collingwood mail.

"He is our bench coach, the calm guy on the bench that takes my messages and pulls me up every now and then. He is a great fella and we will be better as a club if he is around.”

We need less "great fellas" and more c*nty c*nt c*nts

So, with Big Ant being offered a part-time ruck-coaching position, does that mean that the blame for the failures of the coaching group as a whole has been visited on Burnsy - and that Burnsy has been punished for his failures by being snapped up to join the most successful coaching panel of the last decade?

It's all a little startling, really.

Hopefully we can snap up some of the talent that's just retired. Sounds like rocca was kept because he's 'a great bloke' even though he has been demoted to a part time ruck coach.

I agree. Blairy in as forward-line coach, I hope.
