they can always blame H for destabilising the club
Carro or Robbo might write a nasty paragraph or two
Bucks has his pick of 40+ players he always throws under the bus after a loss
40% of the supporter base will swallow anything served up, so it doesn't really matter |

This thread is where the real action is! The Club has made the crucial strategic choice, refresh the apparatus as the change component and retain the Senior Coach as the continuity component. Can they pull it off? The problem will be the loyalty dynamic. When you change a culture the first thing you have to do is"unfreeze" the existing culture. If you can't do that you can't build a new culture. The insider/outsider interface is the critical management challenge.
Collingwood has a profound orientation to solidarity because of the club's history and myth making, which is great but not everything. Adaptability is the key requirement for successful organisations in the 21st Century. In some ways the Club has been wrestling with identity since the mid nineties. The Victoria Park story just one chapter in a big history book.
Don't get me wrong about this although I don't really know him Peter Murphy is a good guy, highly competent and definitely has the qualifications for an organisational review. However, he is a passionate Collingwood man who gives an enormous amount to the club. In another setting it would be strongly argued that the review should have been conducted by someone from the outside looking in who would not have an ongoing relationship with the organisation. That review could then have been put under the microscope by people like Peter and Mark Korda with their check up based on their intimate inside knowledge. Just an example of how we tend to look inward to solve problems. Just as we went to Gary Pert. _________________ JL |

It's only early September but the changes have been pretty piss poor so far. Lets see how it plays out by the start of November when pre season is about to start. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Yeah we are hanging on with bated breaths for Buck's mentor to be announced.
As if Walshy, Sanderson and Trevor Hendy weren't enough already.
Any other house mates Buck's has had that he can bring in?
How about putting Jett on the payroll Edward? |

Perhaps Elton can provide a revised edition to celebrate it.

And 5% will snipe from behind the bushes given even a 1/10 of an excuse. |

I'm hearing a rumour that Peter Sumich will be Buckleys mentor. This has not been verified anywhere and is just a rumour at this stage so take with a grain of salt. _________________ People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again. |

I don't know if you're joking, but I'd be happy if Suma came to Collingwood. I have a lot of respect for what he's achieved since his playing days. And the way he goes about it. _________________ Taobh le taobh bata muid le chéile |
