I missed today's game (it's my sons 2nd birthday and we went to the zoo) but I watched Buckleys presser. It sounded like he moved the magnets around a bit and Maynard played on the ball. I'm itching to watch the replay, but I'm keen to hear how he went in a different position.
I'm a fan of Maynards, he may cough up a few goals here and there but you can't question his endeavour and effort. I look forward to his progression and development as a permanent midfield option along with De Goey.
I also hate this time of year, on 1 hand I'm glad the seasons over (too many lows and not enough highs) but on the other hand we got to see a few new faces and some positional changes right at the end of the year which excites me for 2018.
If only it was tried earlier in the year?
Thanks |

He was good today. Finished with 5 clearances and 6 inside 50s (equal most).
If he moves to the midfield permanently along with De Goey (maybe Greenwood as well), that's some real power.
Wherever he plays, he is a real talent and I think he's ready to really breakout next season. Takes the game on and is super tough. _________________ Well done boys! |

' bull' describes him aptly, hard at ball and the opposition with the heft to back it up. |

Bucks said at post match they have earmarked the kid for midfield when he is ready
Bucks then commented "Think he is more ready than we thought"

Reminded me of Dustin Martin. Always thought he could play that role.
Looking forward to seeing him there next year. |

What is now important for the future is how we use this new bonus‼️
Keep him in the mid and let him flourish is my opinion _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Started like a house on fire yesterday.
We didn't get any brain farts inside D50 meaning he didn't directly cost us goals, which is a good thing.
Just needs to get back on the freakin' MOTM when he's kicking. I've never seen someone smothered so many times from a 'free' kick. _________________ Est. 2002 |

Could not agree more. He was dominant in the 1st qtr and a big reason why we were so dominant. Looking forward to seeing him as a human wrecking ball in the middle from this point forward. Perhaps a little bit of this creativity on the whiteboard could have been shown earlier? _________________ i don't know how to put this but...

Maynard as a defender is a liability.
I've been saying for over a year that he would be best suited to midfield with his kicking power and strength. Sticking to his man is not his strong point.
I'm glad he has been moved. Could only benefit player and team. _________________ - Side By Side - |

When we are as a team under the greatest pressure is when he has failed and coughed up the ball the most. Take him out of the D50 and you reduce this factor significantly.
His kicking to an offensive target at times has been superb. The kid is a keeper and who knows what he will become with more experience and confidence. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

We could near field a team of Half back Flankers.
With missing midfielders such as Pendles, Greenwood and De Goey, Goldsack moving forward and Crisp back, Manyard was the best choice of all the HBF's to be able to move into the midfield and did bloody well.
Reminds me a bit of Ricciuto. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Looked good as a mid but is also very important as a defender. We have very few creative runners from defence. _________________ Well done boys! |

I watched the replay this morning, and I thought he was best afield. An absolute gun, fearless and inspiring, who won contest after contest and was so often the driving dynamo of our fantastic ball movement. |
