Anyone else notice how happy he was beating his old team? The coach that dumped him and didn't offer him a new contract..
And he just helped put the demons out of the finals and the West coast eagles in...

I must admit he's been a lot better then I expected.

Been great. Loved his emotion towards the MCC toffs yesterday. The age profile of our backline is a worry though. One more year for him, Reid and Goldy potentially. I think a key back is our highest recruiting priority.

Our backline shall be fine given we have McLarty waiting in the wings. If they pursue Lever successfully we probably are set up for key back talls for the next decade.

Doubt we're getting Lever. The mail is he's heading to Melbourne.

Speaking of Dunn, I always wondered why he wasn't selected from the beginning of the season. I guess Schade surpassed expectations at the time and wasn't droppable until later in the season.

I don't remember any opposition forward taking Dunne to the cleaners in 2017. Upgrade on Nathan Brown if you ask me because he can kick.

Both Dunn and Howe were pretty happy when they hugged after the siren.

I thought Dunn was a no-brainer to acquire as he cost effectively nothing to get and had had a great 2015, but been starved of opportunities in 2016 with youngsters preferred.

As someone said above, I was surprised he didn't play from round 1 with Schade preferred.

I presume Dunn's former coach took the view that Dunn is a good, solid footballer with reasonable disposal who lacks speed and is poor one-on-one. He's not as good a footballer as Nathan Brown but, in Brown's absence, he was a good get for us.

j

In the twilight of their careers Dunn is streets ahead of Nathan Brown. I believe Dunn to be more accountable and better by foot

Dunn has him covered on every discernible KPI even extending to Fantasy Football where Brown was the worst player out of 800+ players in the league.

Which is why Dunn has played 5 fewer games for a team lower on the ladder and with no competent KPDs.

Loved Dunn sticking it up the toffs, great too see. LOL. I think we may get Lever, I reckon, and our backs will be fine, Maynard is great, and young Ramsay will only get better in time. Langdon is back to his best, fine player now.

Dunn actually uses the ball and can clear it past a zone, brown kicks 100 metre kicks 50 up 50 down

That's true. But Dunn isn't a genuine KPD.

I just love how Dunn has immersed himself into the club, the hard work and commitment he brings is second to none.
It's like he has been at Collingwood his whole career the way he displays his passion.
I cannot recall, maybe ball when he first came to the club, any other player in recent memory that has shown what he has shown in terms of passion and true loyalty to the club.
He would be one of only a handful who have had a really consistent year.
Great get.
