Quote: | FORMER AFL football operations manager Simon Lethlean is on Essendon's radar as they begin the search for a new football boss.
...
Essendon chief executive Xavier Campbell said the Bombers hoped to make an appointment by Christmas, and would speak to Lethlean in the coming weeks.
"He's someone that will be on the radar for sure," Campbell told SEN on Wednesday.
"We'd be open to chatting to Simon. He's a pretty talented football person. He's got pretty significant football experience. We're literally only starting the formal piece of the process now, and that will ramp up leading into Christmas." |

wouldn't mind his son at CHF.
Could have some leg's this rumour as you can already see the selection conflict with lehmann and his old man. James stepping out of the cricket role would let Will stand on his own merits _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

Good news that we've finally appointed someone to the role as CEO.
These two paragraphs posted below from the above link are a good sign that we went through a proper process rather than Eddie choosing his preferred candidate all by himself.
Quote: | “We have been extremely fortunate to have an outstanding interim CEO in Peter Murphy who enabled the club to take its time and find precisely the right candidate,” McGuire said.
“We thank Peter for his tireless work in both the Collingwood Forever Blueprint and CEO recruitment processes which have helped set this club up for years to come.” |

Presumably Peter continues as interim CEO until March. From all the news, it's consistently sounded like he's been very impressive, so I hope he can be convinced to keep some sort of role at the club, e.g as a board member, or whatever. |

Welcome to the greatest club on earth. He has a good CV. You're in the deep end now because the Collingwood supporters are very impatient. |

I'm hoping that someone at collingwood is hitting the 'record' button. Would be good to have a history of decisions - what worked, what didn't how his approach differed.
He seems to have a good history - truth to tell I wouldn't have the faintest as to why Pert left - he wasn't coach. _________________ We shall set our course by the stars and not ships that pass in the night |

His top priorities should be getting us a real social club, a return to Victoria Park, and seeking out a new President. _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |

John Bertrand would have been heavily involved in informing the club if he was the right man. JB is a Pies man through and through. He wouldn’t have let him go if he didn’t think he was the right man for us. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'
