Another disappointing display in another disappointing season.

Thankfully there are only 2 weeks left before the clean out begins.

We are a crippled club in so many ways. Port looked the better side most of the time. Lost any chance of finals and we have two weeks left. 2017 was a miserable year for us. Absolutely sick of the admin of this club.

Tried hard all night but we just lack class to match any side around the top 8. Predictable game, just hanging in all night without seriously challenging. Two games left and we need to win 1 of them to finish the season with more premiership points than the previous year, however we still may end up 13th which means finishing lower than last year. This is the only interest left in the season.....*sigh*.

The goodwill of the CFC brand built up over 100 years continues to be eaten away by the Buckley regime.

A meaningless game. Not gunna get all riled up about it. Some positives to take into next year. We never get blown away. We always fight it out. Good effort Pies.

Played a better second half and that last turnover by Moore cost us the half.

Out coached in the first half with that woeful game plan. Much better after that.

Unfortunately DeGoey had a schocker as did Blair and Elliott.

Brown did a few nice things in the last.

Cox was OK in the ruck.

WHE battled on manfully despite playing injured.

Made a run in the last, but not quite good enough.

Predictable. Boring, mistake riddled, same garbage skill level, turnovers everywhere, yet somehow keep it close-ish without ever really threatening.

The problem with this squad is that even when they get on a roll, you know they are 2 or 3 brain farts away from coughing it all up on a flash.

How Buckley doesn't have a plan for the last 90 secs of quarters, where we always cop a goal, beggars belief. We get back to 8 points as 3/4 time closes, and he lets it ride out with a goal (and nearly another) in the final minute to Port. Game over.

The forward line (and plan to get it forward) has been a 6 year joke. Yet Kirby languishes in the VFL.

FFS, give us something NEW to look forward to.

We were always going to be up against it, especially over there against a side fighting to secure a finals berth and crowd of feral inbreeds willing them over the line. The cockledivers are an average side and we made them look good in parts. A better side would've kicked them outta the park.

We fought hard but weren't good enough in the end. Silly turnovers and skill errors cost us as well as having a handful of our best players out injured or suspended puts too much burden on younger more inexperienced players. That shot by brown which failed to make the distance from 45 would've been nailed by pendles, grundy or wells. The kid's still learning and will improve.

I can't help but think if we recruited some serious talent in the off season that we could mount a decent challenge next year. That means making some tough calls on certain players and trading well. That as well as some luck on the injury front. We can't seem to catch a break there.

With five of our best most skilled players out, against a team with virtually nil injuries, on their own turf, its about what I expected. Least we fought it out and had a dip, we weren't pumped by any means. Our worse loss this season is still only six goals, so that's something for the future.
