Sam Reid and Jake Lever = Top 4

Am sure it's only the start of all of the trade buzz and rumours however one can't help but feel with the potential addition of:

* Sam Reid: free agent so no trade required
* Jake Lever: our first round pick and steak knives and/or shuffle of picks

We would be a chance for top 4, with our midfield hopefully straightening up their inside 50 forays. Reid has been exceptional this year up forward and clutch moves to defence late in quarters.

At 30 years of age early next year, I would discourage the club from pursuing Jarrod Harbrow from the Gold Coast despite his obvious pace and line breaking tendencies from defence.

Yep, Harbrow offers nothing that we don't already have on our list, particularly when Varcoe is up n about.
As we all know, Reid doesn't require a trade, so pursuing him is logical ( if for no other reason than to make Moores life a little easier )
Lever has a 10 year career ahead of him as a gun CHB. He should obviously be the priority.
All sounds good on paper but we don't play the game on paper. There is a lot to play out here before we can start pencilling top four just yet.
