The rumour mill over at bigfooty is suggesting Pert will be replaced by Geoff Walsh in the role of CEO.

Poster by the name of "Scout" on EB&W who has links to the club as some would be aware has added weight to these claims in a post (and might be the originator of the rumour).

Scout is a Super Good Source. I believe what he says.

As he Works for the Club

Does everybody think that Gubby Allan who:

* Knows where every AFL skeletons are buried
* Gracefully without fight, accepted the 12 month ban
* Is studying an elite post of post, upper MBA type course

is doing so on the basis that he hasn't been promised a gig at the Pies next year?? NO WAY!

Am sure there was an Eddie handshake deal to do the "clayton's resignation" all with a view of returning for the 2018 season. Watch this space....

Everything being reviewed at present from top to bottom. Believe a rumour like that at your peril. I personally reckon Geoff Walsh's heart isn't and hasn't been in it This year from his body language. I reckon he'll walk from the club at seasons end.

In his last life at the club we were winning premierships.

In his present life at the club we are going from bad to worse. Who could blame him for being downhearted?

Well, the CEO's salary will probably make him feel a lot less downhearted.I know it would for me.

Wasn't Walsh considering retirement or a reduced role prior to answering the call from Ed last year?

To be honest as long as the person is competent in the role I don't really see the CEO as being a key to us returning to finals.

When considering Geoff Walsh's ability to maintain relationships I doubt he has hat it takes to do the job. I call it :
"No Chance"

So if Walsh goes to CEo, can he fix the revolving door in the football managers office FFS?

If he moves, what is that, 6 in 5 years?

Crickey, don't anyone tell Rudeboy. BHMc might warm to it but Rudeboy will be apoplectic.

What does the Football Manager actually do? Do the coaches report to them? Are they just there to make coffees for coaching staff? FFS, you'd like to think that a Football Manager has the power to hire and fire anybody from within the football dept.

I have always thought that as long as the coaches don't report to anyone except the board, all other positions in club land are a bit of a wank.
