Daicos wasn't really a mid fielder from 1987 til retirement, so he can be removed from the list. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

He played in the centre from 1987 to 1989 and won the Copeland playing there in 1988. |

A hard one, I really rated Tony Francis , very tough and could kick goals.
I liked him more than Russell who was probably more classy, But Didak had more freakish skills than either of them. |
Francis was superb when he was healthy. He could get the ball in a pack, run away from the pack and deliver the ball well. But he only really had 2-3 good years. I'd take Didak.
Russell is an interesting one, that generation's Sidebottom. A guy who came into a very good team and instantly looked the part. Everyone assumed he'd get better, but he never really did, he peaked as a very good player who wasn't AA caliber. As such, he got a lot of crap from people who scapegoated him for the decline of the team in general. The one thing Sidey has on him is durability. Russell was washed up pretty early and didn't even get to 200 games. _________________ "We ain't gotta dream no more" |
