If you had a referendum to fix it it ill invariably lose. This will be proved with the Gay marriage thing. Australian don't trust politicians and the smaller states don't trust anyone.

I genuinely have no idea. You'd probably have to check! It'd be strange if your kids are dual citizens, but it certainly seems plausible that they could be.

Me too!

Mum was born in England (came to oz when she was 9)

I knew I could get a British passport if I wanted, but considered to be a dual citizen?? That's nuts alright!!

Check if you're a British citizen

1 When were you born?

Before 1 January 1983

2 Were you born in the UK or a qualifying territory?

No

3 Were you a UK and Colonies citizen on 31 December 1982 with right of abode in the UK?

No

You're not a British citizen

You might be able to become a British citizen through naturalisation.

Phew!!!

I have no idea, but I could be a Greek citizen for all I know because my father was born in Greece, even though I've never travelled to Greece in my life.

At the very least, I'm eligible to hold Greek citizenship if I wish to.

Is it too late to rebrand the party as 'The Dual Nationals'?

This is getting ridiculous:

http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2017-08-18/nick-xenophon-citizenship-british-home-office/8819502

I'll eat my shoe if there aren't any Labor MPs in strife.
